Mars Bar Ice-Cream Topping Recipe

While on a ‘driving lesson’ the other day with my dad, he told me about a recipe a friend had told him about 10 years ago that he’d always really wanted to try…but hadn’t gotten around to yet.

The following is what I made tonight and is based on his recipe:

MARS BAR ICE-CREAM TOPPING (or yummy ganache that you can eat straight from the bowl if you really love your sugar!)

Ingredients:

  • 11 x bite size Mars Bars (18g each)
  • 600mL thickened cream
  • 1 cup of dark chocolate buttons

Utensils:

Method:

  • Pour cream into saucepan and heat on medium-low heat until warm and no longer thick
  • Add Mars Bars to cream and stir until combined  (not all of the Mars Bar will combine)
  • Add chocolate buttons and stir until melted and combined

Then, allow to cool and enjoy on your favourite ice-cream!
